[This is on, like, Wednesday, at midnight. As always, her voice is marred by faint static, but this time the air raid sirens can be heard in the distance as well.]

One begins to wonder at the purpose of these regular outbursts. If the sound is originally intended as a warning, perhaps it still serves as such, and it is only the nature of what we are being warned of that has changed.

One also begins to wonder when such a warning will no longer be necessary.

[The voice that comes through is distorted by heavy static. It doesn't wane or waver or clear up at all, and it doesn't make her inaudible or unintelligible. It's a just constant static running over everything she says.]

It is strange to be expected to make use of such primitive technology.

I am told there are others in this place, and that this network serves as a link between them.

[Pause...]

I suppose I am attempting to confirm that.
